LUDIA is a no-cost, AI-powered thought partner for Universal Design for Learning. LUDIA is copyrighted. Beth Stark and Jérémie Rostan hold all rights.
If you belong to a learning community or organization, LUDIA is for you. This includes educators, administrators, coaches, coordinators, parents, and caregivers, in schools, colleges, universities, and career and technical training. You are welcome to use LUDIA and to share it with your fellow members. Please credit the designers, Beth Stark and Jérémie Rostan.
If you are a paid consultant, trainer, or an organization that offers paid professional services: you are welcome to recommend LUDIA and point people to it. Please do not make LUDIA part of a paid offering without written permission. To ask, email hello@askludia.com.
Please also: Do not change or adapt LUDIA's materials. Do not use the LUDIA name or logo to suggest that LUDIA endorses you.
Using LUDIA responsibly
- Please do not enter sensitive personal or location details about students or others.
- Please do not share copyrighted work that belongs to someone else. Only share work that is yours to share.
- LUDIA is an AI tool and can make mistakes. Please check what it suggests before you rely on it.
- LUDIA supports your thinking. It is not a substitute for your own judgment.

This is not a Creative Commons license. It was written specifically for LUDIA, so please read the terms below rather than assuming familiar license rules apply.
Terms of Use
1. Agreeing to these terms
By using LUDIA, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use LUDIA.
2. What LUDIA is
LUDIA is an AI-powered Universal Design for Learning thought partner, offered as a public good, at no cost.
3. Who may use LUDIA, and how
If you are a member of a learning community or organization, LUDIA is for you. Educators, administrators, coaches, coordinators, parents, and caregivers, in schools, colleges, universities, and career and technical training, are welcome to use LUDIA and to share LUDIA with your fellow members, with credit to the designers, Beth Stark and Jérémie Rostan.
If you are a paid consultant, trainer, or an organization providing paid professional services: you are welcome to recommend LUDIA and point participants to LUDIA as a resource. You may not make LUDIA part of a paid offering without written permission. To ask, email hello@askludia.com.
4. Please do not
When you use LUDIA, please do not:
- Use LUDIA as part of a paid service, or build paid training, workshops, coaching, or consultancy around LUDIA, without written permission.
- Copy, scrape, or extract the LUDIA prompt, content, or materials to build another tool or service.
- Use LUDIA, or anything LUDIA produces, to train or improve any other AI model.
- Resell, sublicense, or charge others for access to LUDIA.
- Use the LUDIA name or logo to advertise your own paid offering, or in any way that suggests an endorsement.
- Try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to LUDIA or the systems that run it.
5. Intellectual property
LUDIA is copyrighted. The LUDIA name and associated materials belong to Beth Stark and Jérémie Rostan. All rights are reserved. Your use of the LUDIA materials is governed by the LUDIA Public Use License below.
6. Privacy
Your use of LUDIA is also covered by the LUDIA Privacy Notice on this website, which explains what information is collected and how it is handled.
7. Changes and availability
These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted here. LUDIA may also be changed, paused, or withdrawn at any time.
8. If you break these terms
If you break these terms, you no longer have permission to use LUDIA.
9. No warranty
LUDIA is offered "as is," without warranty of any kind, as far as the law allows. The rights holders are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of LUDIA, as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law rules.

LUDIA Public Use License
The basics
- Who holds the rights: Beth Stark and Jérémie Rostan (the rights holders).
- What this license covers: the LUDIA master prompt and the associated materials published as part of LUDIA. These are referred to as the LUDIA materials.

1. What the words mean
LUDIA is the AI-powered Universal Design for Learning thought partner published under this name, together with the LUDIA materials.
The LUDIA materials are the master prompt and any other content published as part of LUDIA. They do not include the AI model that powers LUDIA, which belongs to a third party and is not part of this license.
Paid or commercial use means using LUDIA or the LUDIA materials mainly to earn money or gain a commercial advantage. This includes building them into any paid or revenue-generating professional development, training, workshop, course, webinar, coaching, or consultancy, whether or not LUDIA itself is sold, and whether payment is received directly or indirectly. A paid training or consultancy that is largely about LUDIA, or that teaches or demonstrates LUDIA as a core part, counts as paid or commercial use and needs written permission from the rights holders.
2. What you may do
You may:
- use LUDIA and the LUDIA materials for non-commercial purposes; and
- copy and share the LUDIA materials, as long as you do not change them.
These rights apply anywhere in the world and cost nothing. They come with the simple conditions in section 4.
3. What this license does not include
This license is only about the LUDIA materials. It does not give you any rights to:
- the LUDIA name or logo (these are covered in section 6); or
- the AI model that powers LUDIA.
4. The conditions
Your rights above apply as long as you:
- Give credit. Credit the rights holders, keep any existing copyright and license notices in place, and link to this license where it is reasonable to do so.
- Keep it non-commercial. Do not make paid or commercial use of LUDIA or the LUDIA materials, as described in section 1.
- Do not adapt and share. Please do not change, adapt, translate, remix, or build on the LUDIA materials and then share the result. You are welcome to use them as they are.
- Do not imply endorsement. Please do not suggest that the rights holders endorse you, your organization, or your services, unless they have agreed in writing.
5. Rights that are reserved
All rights not expressly granted here are reserved by the rights holders. Any use beyond this license, including paid or commercial use, adaptations, or derivative publications, needs written permission first. Just ask, using the address above. The rights holders may say yes, say no, or suggest conditions.
6. The LUDIA name and logo
"LUDIA" and any logo are trademarks of the rights holders. This license does not let you use the name or logo, except to give honest credit as described in section 4. Please do not use the name or logo to advertise or promote a paid product or service, or in any way that suggests an official or endorsed connection with the rights holders, without written permission.
7. No warranty
LUDIA and the LUDIA materials are offered "as is," without warranty of any kind, as far as the law allows. The rights holders are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of LUDIA, as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
8. If this license ends
Your rights under this license end automatically if you break any of these conditions. Sections 5, 6, and 7 still apply afterwards.
